The Roaring Fork Valley Community Health Plan
The Roaring Fork Valley Community Health Plan is a not-for-profit
corporation organized to create and promote community-oriented health
care plans that are focused on competitive pricing, accessibility, and
quality outcomes for members of rural communities in Western Colorado.
Health care coverage is provided by Aetna Life Insurance Company. The
program is managed by Van Gilder Insurance Corporation.
Roaring Fork Valley Community Health Plan is available
for both business groups and individuals located in the cities of Aspen,
Basalt, Battlement Mesa, Carbondale, Eagle, El Jebel, Glenwood Springs,
New Castle and Rifle. By joining your local Chamber of Commerce, you would
be eligible for an array of discounted plan designs to meet the active
lifestyles in the Roaring Fork Valley. For more information about becoming

Roaring Fork Valley Community Health Plan promotes interaction
among health care constituents including: Valley View Hospital, Aspen
Valley Hospital, and Grand River Medical Center and over 137 local physicians
throughout the region. Commitment to quality care, health education, wellness,
and prevention make Roaring Fork Valley Community Health Plan a valued
community partner for businesses and individuals within the region. Colorado
currently has over 770,000 uninsured residents,* and according to the
US Census Bureau, over 14% of the Valley's residents are uninsured.
This local effort by RFVCHP is aimed at attracting those uninsured as
well as promoting wellness and prevention to help lower the overall cost
of health care.
