Connecting Communities for Better Health Care

Improving Communication

In July of 2004, the Roaring Fork Valley Community Health Plan became a member of the Connecting Communities for Better Health Program Learning Network. Through this affiliation Roaring Fork Valley Community Health Plan will work with other communities across the nation to assemble Health Information Exchange to improve the communications between providers and their patients.

The Roaring Fork Valley Collaborative Care Network is being developed to bring efficiencies to the medical delivery system by providing a common platform for members to access their provider's offices. William Hanisch, Executive Director of the Roaring Fork Valley Community Health Plan is excited about the possibilities it provides the residents of the extended Roaring Fork valley. "We are working to allow our entire medical network a common access point to deliver secure information between the various customers in the health care system."
