The Roaring Fork Valley Community Health Plan has teamed
up with local Chambers of Commerce to offer access to a variety of flexible
and cost-effective health plan options to employers within the extended
Roaring Fork Valley area. These plans are offered by Aetna, and now available
at discounted rates to Chamber members. To become a Chamber member, contact

RFVCHP promotes the combined services of Aetna,
one of the nation's largest and most respected carriers, and Ben-e-lect,
a cost-effective medical plan created to help employers take control of
rising health care costs, while maintaining benefits for employees.
Instead of reducing benefits to reduce employee premiums, Ben-e-lect
gives employers freedom of choice in designing their own plans. Even small
employers can create custom plan designs and a robust reporting package.
This combination lets employers create and administer Wellness plans at
the employer level.
What's more, employees have access to an extensive network of local
providers, plus one of the largest PPO providers in the country.
Aetna Tools and Benefits
Aetna offers an extensive list of benefits and tools
coupled with superior service through their dedicated Association Health
Plan unit.
- 16 plan designs for the local Chambers of Commerce
including three custom plans tailored for the Roaring Fork Valley.
- “Pick-a-Plan 3” offers businesses with
as few as 5 enrolled employees three different Aetna health plans.
- “ValuePick” makes participation and contribution
requirements more lenient for employers choosing one or more of Aetna's
Value Plans.
- Health Fund and HSA offer employers yet another tool
to control costs.
- Lenient participation requirements, flexible pricing and
web-based information tools help members understand health
care quality and cost.
- Individual plans are available for qualifying individuals
in the community
- Life and Disability coverage can be bundled to give
employers the convenience of a single bill or purchased separately.
Ben-e-lect Features and Benefits
Ben-e-lect can be offered with Aetna or without and
can be used with any PPO health insurance carrier. Here's how it works:
First, an employer purchases a high deductible plan from the Chamber
or their insurance carrier. Ben-e-lect administers and processes claims
under the high deductible. The employee receives a normal plan with office
visit co-pays, prescription co-pays and co-insurance. The employer saves
money with benefit designs to fit their needs. Employees benefit too.
